Welcome to the Brisbane Metropolitan Bands Association
Brisbane Metropolitan Bands Inc was formed prior to WWII to act as a focal point for the common interests of Brisbane’s community music ensembles. Membership is made up of Brisbane’s seven oldest community bands.

These bands represent the heart and soul of Brisbane’s community based musical ensembles and together have over 500 years of service to the people of Brisbane. Brisbane Metropolitan Bands works in conjunction with the Brisbane City Council in providing the Bands in Parks Programme. This affiliation with the BCC of over 50 years enables our member and guest bands to perform in the parks and festivals of Brisbane year round. We thank the BCC for their continued and ongoing financial support of this programme and welcome feedback from all people who have an interest in our programme.
