As part of Cine Sparks – The Australian Film Festival for Young People, Brisbane Brass Junior Marching Band led by the Giant Puppets, will march from Queen Street Mall to King George Square and will play movie themes as part of the Family Film Fiesta. The day will include a fiesta of family films including Wizard of Oz, The General, A Night at the Opera and film related activities for children.

Featuring Brisbane Symphonic Band conducted by Stefanie Smith, in a Italian mood with selections of famous operas. Enjoy selections from Barber of Seville, Aida and Bolero.

Featuring QWAZZ, the jazz ensemble from Queensland Wind & Brass playing an exciting repertoire of jazz standards to delight lovers of big band music. Sing along with the Band’s superb vocalists for a memorable afternoon in the botanic gardens.

Champions of Brass, Australia’s premier brass band Brisbane Excelsior – don’t miss an opportunity to hear acclaimed Brisbane Excelsior band joined by champion pipe band Queensland Highlanders play in the park at Manly.
